Canada Goose
Canada Goose opened its fourth Winnipeg location in 2019. The 53,000 sq. ft. warehouse is a $1.1 million investment, with 14 jobs created and the potential for a higher headcount in the future. YES! Winnipeg helped the company with several issues, including permitting and government navigation.
Precision ADM
With YES! Winnipeg’s support in the areas of advocacy and issue management, Precision ADM was able to secure contracts with the Province of Manitoba to produce 500,000 reusable N95 masks with options for another 500,000.
SkipTheDishes
The online order/delivery company confirmed in November 2019 it was maintaining its Canadian headquarters in Winnipeg, occupying four-and-a-half floors (95,000 sq. ft.) at True North Square. YW worked with SkipTheDishes for an extended period to sell Winnipeg and illustrate our competitive advantages versus other jurisdictions who were also courting them, along with assisting with government navigation at both the municipal and provincial levels as well as issue management.
Ubisoft
Ubisoft is one of the largest publishers of video games in the world and creator of massive brands like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs and Just Dance. As of 2020, the company employs over 19,000 people worldwide, across 40+ studios. Its Canadian headquarters is Montreal, Quebec with an office now in Winnipeg. Ubisoft’s investment in Winnipeg, announced in 2017, will reach $35 million and employ 100 people at maturity. The company’s entry to the Winnipeg market started with our proactive outreach and is a textbook case on the value of working with YES! Winnipeg.
